AsFin supports SMEs by offering a "digital financial manager", a technological platform that permanently analyzes their financial situation, diagnoses needs/problems, proposes actions and executes them (or helps to execute them).

We faced the challenge of designing and developing, in just 3 months, the first version of the web application that will help AsFin's clients (companies and advisors) to make decisions based on real data, with a comprehensive vision to understand their business and to improve their results.
This application is connected to a powerful economic and financial analysis engine, created with proprietary algorithms by AsFin's team of financial experts and data scientists.

Definition and design: Working with the customer
After immersing ourselves in the client's ecosystem, we moved on to the phase of defining the new platform that should replace the prototype based on Looker Studio. To do so, we conducted several creative sessions with them.
Improved information architecture and navigation flows to guide the user to the desired actions.
Redefinition of the panels of each section of the application to facilitate access and visualization of the most relevant information.
Creation of a board where the conclusions can be captured in visual format, as a basis for the following phases.
We then move on to the Design phase, where we materialize the value proposition in a product aligned with user needs and business objectives:
The definition of the new graphic and visual style of the application, adapted to the visual identity of the brand.
Design and optimization of the user interface (UI) of each screen of the product, composed of more than 18 visualization dashboards.
Adaptation of component library both for selection: menu, buttons, selectors, filters, etc; and for visualization: graphs, indicators, tables, cards, etc (using Prime React and ApexCharts,js).
Design of small interactions, effects and animations in the UI.
TECHNOLOGY. SOLUTION DEVELOPMENT.
The result has been a robust, secure, flexible and scalable platform that can keep up with the growth of SaaS and its needs up to tens of thousands of users.
Study of all the technical documentation of the project and functional specification.
Setup and maintenance of local development and test environments. And Git repository to collaborate with the customer's team and perform deployments and continuous development.
Frontend implementation with React and connection to the backend via API Rest. Customization of the PrimerReact library to comply with the design, working with a large number of components (forms, selectors, menu, tables, cards, etc).
Use of tailwindCSS to customize some aspects of responsive, and ApexCharts.js for the creation of graphs offering a unique and very dynamic data visualization.
Complete development of a Backend to provide several critical services of the application. Providing secure access to its Postgres database through a REST API developed entirely in Symfony and with access from the Frontend through JWT (Jason Web Tokens) for secure access to data. In addition, by using this technology, it would allow to connect future applications, such as a specific version for mobile.
Management of tasks in the Backlog, Sprints, Roadmap and Work Squad.
QA and Testing tasks. Resolution of bugs and initial fixes, and subsequent implementation of evolutions and improvements.
Continuous work with the customer, and with the Product Design team.
Implementation to support multi-language support in next iterations of the platform.
Hosting of the web application on AWS infrastructure created and managed by AsFin, ensuring high performance, optimization, security and customer experience.
CUSTOMER IMPACT
The result of this process is a solid, optimized and high performance web application. It achieves the primary goal of enabling customers to easily, intuitively and personally visualize, interpret and interact with hundreds of complex financial data to make better decisions that impact their business.
